Part Trapdoor

The trapdoorposition is a kind of value. The trapdoorpositions are left side, mid-cell, and right side. [This is just a hack to overcome a bug in I7]

The trapdoor is a secret door. It is not conversable. It is middle. It is scenery, openable, and locked. The description is "It's a wooden trapdoor set in the floor[if the trapdoor is open]. Looking closely you can see a small switch on the side of it[otherwise if the sticker is a part of the trapdoor]. It looks like there's some sort of sticker on it[end if].".
The trapdoor has a trapdoorposition called the pos. The pos of the trapdoor is left side.
A secret door can be ventured or unventured. A secret door is usually unventured.

Trapdoor is down of the cell. Through it is the cell.

Understand "trap" as the trapdoor.
Understand "trap door" and "hatch" and "wood/wooden" as the trapdoor.

The creature response of the trapdoor is "[if the trapdoor is unventured]'Hee. I'll just escape through the trapdoor,' you plan.[paragraph break]'We'll see about that,' the creature replies.[otherwise]'That's a curious trapdoor,' you muse.[paragraph break]'Yeah, things tend to be like that in [key castle]here[endkey castle],' [the creature] says."

The guard response of the trapdoor is "[if the trapdoor is unventured]'Uh.. you do know that there's a trapdoor here? Maybe I'll just, you know, slip through it and escape?'[paragraph break]'HA! HA HA! I DOUBT IT,' the guard roars.[otherwise]'Hey! What's the deal with that trapdoor?' you demand to know.[paragraph break]'HA! HA HA! HA!' the guard laughs."

Instead of taking the trapdoor:
    say "It's attached to the floor.".

Instead of looking under the trapdoor:
    say "[if the trapdoor is closed]You'll see what's under it once you've opened it.[otherwise]There's the floor under it.".

Instead of searching the trapdoor:
    say "It's just a plain old trapdoor.".

Instead of opening the trapdoor when the trapdoor is locked:
    say "It is tightly locked.".

Before pushing the trapdoor:
    say "You push hard on random places a couple of times, but it doesn't open.";
    stop the action.

Instead of attacking the trapdoor:
    say "It resists your every attempt to break it.".

Instead of touching the trapdoor:
    say "Rough wooden texture.".

Instead of smelling the trapdoor:
    say "It smells like wood.".

Instead of listening to the trapdoor:
    say "You put your ear on the trapdoor and listen carefully but hear nothing.[if the trapdoor is open and the creature is present][one of] 'Usually when you listen through doors they are [italic type]closed[roman type].'[or][stopping][otherwise if the trapdoor is open] Since the trapdoor is open it might be surprising if you [italic type]did[roman type] hear something.".

Instead of going down when the guard is not away:
    say "Better not to try that while the guard is watching."

After going down:
    if the pos of the trapdoor is right side or the pos of the trapdoor is left side:
        say "You jump down the trapdoor and land back into the cell.";
    otherwise:
        say "You jump down the trapdoor and find yourself back in the cell. Since the trapdoor is in the middle of the room, you fall through it again. And again. And again.[paragraph break][A little help to get out of the portal]";
        now the pos of the trapdoor is left side;
        now the pos of the switch is left side.

After going down when the trapdoor is unventured and the player is not carrying the flux capacitor:
    if the pos of the trapdoor is not mid-cell:
        if the tongue is numb:
            say "You jump down the trapdoor to the room below, thumping down on your feet and facing a stone wall. 'Ow, eh ee ef heh hoom eh eahieh ho ehahe hah he hah ohe,' you say to yourself. [c]Nice try, monkey boy. You dropped down the hatch in the ceiling the moment you went through the trapdoor,[c] the creature grunts behind you.";
        otherwise:
            say "You jump down the trapdoor to the room below, thumping down on your feet and facing a stone wall. 'Now, let's see if this room is easier to escape than the last one,' you say to yourself. [c]I very much doubt it,[c] says the creature's voice next to you.

'How the [bowdler] did you get here before me?' you cry. [c]I didn't, monkey boy. You dropped down the hatch in the ceiling the moment you went through the trapdoor,[c] it grunts.";
    otherwise:
        say "You jump down the trapdoor and fall through the next trapdoor underneath it. Then another. And another. And another. The openings are endless and you keep falling through them at an increasing speed.[paragraph break]";
        say "Looking at the rooms you fall through you notice that each of them are curiously similar, each like a mirror image of the previous one. Every room seems to have a small, black creature with a large bag in them, too. '[if the tongue is not numb]How curious that [the creature] has so many colleagues in the castle,' you wonder to yourself.

        [now the player is in the portal;]
        pause the cutscene;
        now the pos of the trapdoor is left side;
        now the pos of the switch is left side;
        say A little help to get out of the portal;
    now the trapdoor is ventured.

To say A little help to get out of the portal:
    say "'Uh.. A little help here?' you ask after falling for some while. The surroundings are just one big blur and it's giving you a headache. [c]Oh, all right, you big baby,[c] the creature says and shuffles towards the trapdoor. It flips the switch and the trapdoor slides to one side.

Your fall comes to an abrupt end as you smash on the floor. 'Owee,' you cry and climb on your feet.";

After going down when the player carries a flux capacitor: [man, this is one messy rule.]
    if the trapdoor is ventured:
        if the pos of the trapdoor is not mid-cell:
            say "You jump down the trapdoor and land back into the cell.";
            if the flux capacitor is not broken:
                say "The speed dial on the flux capacitor moves a bit and returns back to zero.";
        otherwise:
            if the flux capacitor is unpowered:
                say "You jump down the trapdoor and fall for some while. The speed dial on the flux capacitor soon goes to the 88 mph mark and over it. A couple of colorful sparks fly off it as it does, but nothing else happens.[paragraph break][A little help to get out of the portal]";
            otherwise if the flux capacitor is broken:
                say "You jump down the trapdoor and keep your eyes on the flux capacitor as you fall. Nothing happens. Even the needle on the speed dial stays still.[paragraph break][A little help to get out of the portal]";
            otherwise: [here comes the escape]
                say "You jump down the trapdoor holding [the flux capacitor].";
                escape through time;
    otherwise:
        if the pos of the trapdoor is not mid-cell:
            if the tongue is numb:
                say "You jump down the trapdoor to the room below, thumping down on your feet and facing a stone wall. 'Ow, eh ee ef heh hoom eh eahieh ho ehahe hah he hah ohe,' you say to yourself.                 say "You jump down the trapdoor and fall through the next trapdoor underneath it. Then another. And another. And another. The openings are endless and you keep falling through them at an increasing speed.[paragraph break]";
                say "At one point the speed dial on [the flux capacitor] reaches the 88 mph mark and some colorful sparks fly off it. Nothing else happens.[paragraph break]";
                say "Looking at the rooms you fall through you notice that each of them are curiously similar, each like a mirror image of the previous one.
