The celldoor is a thing in cell. It is scenery and by the door. The printed name is "door". The description is "The door is made of heavy reinforced steel plates, attached with large bolts. The hinges are on the left side and on the right side is the keyhole. There's a small rectangular metal plate in the middle of the door.". The celldoor can be insulated. It is not insulated. The creature response of the celldoor is "'How am I supposed to get that door open?'[paragraph break]'I think you're [italic type]not[roman type] supposed to get it open,' the creature replies." The guard response of the celldoor is "'Could you please open the door?' you ask.[paragraph break]'HA! HA! HA HA HA! HA! HA HA!' is all he replies." Understand "heavy" as the celldoor. Understand "reinforced" as the celldoor. Understand "steel" as the celldoor. Understand "door" as the celldoor. Instead of taking the celldoor: say "You can't even open it, even less carry it around.". Instead of eating the celldoor: say "If your teeth would only bite through steel, you'd happily gnaw your way through.". Instead of looking under the celldoor: say "There's no gap at all between the door and the floor.". Instead of locking the celldoor with: try locking the keyhole with the second noun. Instead of unlocking the celldoor with: try unlocking the keyhole with the second noun. Instead of opening or unbolting the celldoor: say "You don't have the key.". Instead of closing the celldoor: say "It's already closed.". Instead of touching the celldoor: say "It feels hard and smooth.". Instead of looking through the celldoor: try looking through the keyhole. Instead of attacking the celldoor: say "You pound the door with your fists and feet but it doesn't give in. 'Let me out!' you scream.[paragraph break][if the guard is in the cell][g]STOP THAT,' the guard shouts.[otherwise]'KEEP THE NOISE DOWN IN THERE,' you hear from the other side." Instead of pushing the celldoor: say "You push, but it doesn't open. Possibly because the hinges are on this side." Instead of pulling the celldoor: say "There's nothing to get a handle on.". Instead of tasting the celldoor: say "You lick the door a bit. It tastes icky.[if the creature is present][one of][line break][question intelligence] [the creature] taunts you.[or][stopping]". |
