Section 8 - Sausage
The sausage is a thing on the plate. The sausage equals the scissors. The sausage is small.
Understand "salami" as the sausage.
Understand "food" as the sausage.
The description is "[if edible]The sausage looks, if not exactly fresh, but edible enough.[otherwise]It's some kind of long salami-style sausage. Salt has preserved it comparably well, but it's still rancid enough to not be edible."
Check eating the inedible sausage:
say "It's way past its best before date." instead.
Check eating the edible sausage:
say "It's tempting, but shifu had [us] follow a vegetarian diet and a sudden move back to eating meat would probably upset [our] stomach." instead.
Instead of tasting the sausage:
try eating the sausage.
Check giving the sausage to the fish:
say "[We]['re] not much of a biologist, but [we]['re] quite sure that fish don't eat sausages." instead.
Check washing the inedible sausage with the koi pond:
say "Washing the sausage itself wouldn't make it any more edible. It's gone bad." instead.
[Rules concerning feeding the sausage to the dog are in the dog chapter.]
