My Name is Jack Mills is free software. You are encouraged to play, distribute and study the game freely. You can even change the game any way you like or base a new one on it – however if you do so, please take a look at the license.

To compile the game, you need the Inform 7 compiler. The source is written for an older build (4W37) but it should compile with just minor changes in the newer versions.

In addition you need some Inform 7 extensions. You can find some of them here and the rest in the Inform 7 extensions page.

Did you know...

The very first name for the game during the design phase was The Frank Mills Identity.

Originally Jack was supposed to find a way to break into Greenfeld's mansion and steal the mask. It was later replaced by the auction scene since breaking into the hotel room was already a very similar scene.

There was a revolver to be found in Jack's car, but it was dropped during beta testing.

The spoiled meat inside the waste container was to be used in a puzzle in Greenfeld's mansion. After the mansion scene was altered, the meat wasn't useful anymore. It was still left in the game.

Jack Mills was the name of the train driver in the Great Train Robbery of 1963. This is purely a coincidence.
