Thing can be hinted or unhinted. Thing is usually unhinted.
Hint style start is text that varies. Hint style start is "[bold type]".
Hint style end is text that varies. Hint style end is "[roman type]".
To say key ( x - a thing ):
if x is unhinted:
say "[hint style start]".
To say endkey ( x - a thing ):
if x is unhinted:
say "[hint style end]";
now x is hinted.
